Many are ancient and history records of them
Stories of intrigue and romance and crime,
Scenes of events that have shaped London's story,
Most of them spanning a very long time.
Oases of peace in a fast moving city,
Places where people can sit down and rest,
Enjoying the feeling of being in the country
Far from the stresses so many detest.
