A massive job, which has to be done –
Restocking the freezer isn’t much fun!
Endless chopping of onions and green,
Parsnips, potatoes, and leeks and beans;
Carrots and Swedes and red peppers too,
All of the things that one needs for a stew.
Filling up small plastic pots which will hold
Enough just for one and much smaller than sold
Also containers which hold a lot more –
The slicing and chopping can be quite a bore!
But finally all the restocking’s complete
And everything looks now quite pristine and neat.
