For many people it’s their fate
That they must constantly create
New paintings which express their views,
On something that is in the news;
New poems where they can portray,
The changing scenes from day to day;
Sculptures through which they can send
A message on a current trend;
Novels that have much to say
About society today;
Children’s books which aim to show
A world surrounded by a glow;
Plays whose content will enthral
And entertain both one and all;
Photographs that bring to life,
The meaning of both love and strife;
They’re all just part of live for those
Through whom the creative spirit flows.
