Global Warming

Not long  ago the experts said
Global warming was just ahead
And soon the climate here would be
As warm and pleasant as Italy.
But warming then began to stall
And it was obvious to nearly all
That we no longer stood in line
For endless days when the sun would shine.
So then they did a quick exchange,
From "global warming" to "climate change",
And that the weather now would be
Less stable than 'twas formerly.
And in the coming years we'd find
Seasons not so well defined,
And also over time we'd gain,
Abnormal storms and droughts and rain.
The truth is that across the years,
Change is something that appears
Quite regularly, without man's aid,
So there's no need to be afraid,
That what we're doing now will cause
A change to any climate laws.
For there is nothing we can do,
But just accept all changes due
Making sure that we have planned,
So we all changes can withstand.
