Flowers give a room such a feeling of friendliness
Adding their beauty to whatever's there,
Giving a sense it's a place that is lived in,
Even in rooms which are otherwise bare.
Their colours can vary from pure white to crimson,
Palest of cream to a deep mustard shade;
Purples and mauves and a wide choice of orange,
With blues that extend from a pale hue to jade.
Included there'll usually be some sort of greenery,
Feathery fronds to the tall, thick and straight,
Bringing their beauty along with their colour
To the pretty display that they help to create.
