The Presence of Love

Love's presence manifests itself in many varied ways,
For there's a host of aspects to the message it conveys,
Depending on the context and the people who're involved,
The way in which throughout the scene its present is dissolved;
It can mean acts of kindness to a stranger who's in need,
Random generosity instead of selfish greed;
Thoughtfulness to others in a world where that is rare,
Can contain the message love is clearly present there;
Caring for the poor and sick, with no thought of reward
Can evidence a heart in which deep love has clearly soared.
The cheery word, encouragement, extended helping hands,
Display the character of one who follows love's demands;
There are so many ways in which love's presence can be shown,
And also many ways in which its presence can be known.
