Toy Shops

At Christmas shops are full of toys
Aimed at little girls and boys;
Pretty dollies dressed in pink,
With curly hair and eyes that blink;
Dolls which utter baby cries,
Teddy bears with tartan ties;
Plastic ducks for bathtime fun,
Brightest yellow, like the sun;
Model trains which chug along,
Cuddly toys which play a song;
Meccano sets and jigsaws too,
Games and puzzles, old and new;
Drums and whistles there abound,
And small pianos with tinny sound;
Sets of coloured paints and pens,
Balls for playing with their friends;
Lots of cars and aeroplanes,
Tractors, ships and metal cranes;
Throughout a toyshop there are piled
Stacks of things fore very child.
