Fluffy little chickens are a most endearing sight,
Along with baby ducklings, ones not old enough for flight.
Kittens have the sweetest look, when tiny balls of fur
Particularly when uttering the tiniest little purr.
Puppies too are full of charm, their big eyes making sure
They have the look they know will make all children them adore.
Lambs and kids and calves and foals, there's something about them all
That makes them so attractive, not just that they are small.
The young of every species seems to have some special trait,
Some very special feature to which people can relate.
