Fast trains

Fast trains move rapidly once they're away,
Their timetable does not allow for delay.
They rush through the countryside, causing a gale
So trees by the railway line quiver and quail
As each train flies past at the maximum speed
Which on a long run can be rapid indeed.
The passengers seated inside can employ
The time to get work done or simply enjoy
The constantly changing and altering view
As each mile produces a scene that is new.
The train-ride is smooth, though it's hurtling along,
For jolting and noisiness do not belong
On fast city services, which aim to make
Long journeys by train an enjoyable break.
