Good teachers can make a great impact
On so many children's lives,
Setting them goals in their learning,
Ensuring that each one arrives
At the point of their greatest potential,,
Taking away from their schools,
After their years in the classroom
Not just a few facts and some rules,
But a real love of learning and knowledge,
The feeling that they have achieved
An enormous amount from their school days,
Much more than most would've believed
Could be gained by the less academic
Those children who may find it hard
Acquiring the necessary knowledge,
The type that are so often barred
From classes for causing disruption,
Because they have never been fired
With an interest in all they are learning,
Have not in each class been inspired
To learn for the sake of learning,
Because of the interest aroused
By really good teachers whose classes,
And methods have constantly housed
A love of their subject and teaching,
Who really enjoy to impart
The very same level of interest,
Which makes all their pupils then start
To listen and take in the lessons
Which good teachers always ensure
Are relevant, aimed at inspiring
A love that will always endure.
