I like to go to lectures, where I hope I may discern,
New facts and ways of thinking, for there's always much to learn.
And speakers who are experts can make all things come alive
From bringing up a kitten to the way you can survive
If you are lost in jungles or in desert far from home,
Or any other far off place that you may choose to roam.
From chemistry to knitting, and from sports to books current news,
There's so much that's on offer it is very hard to choose.
Not only that, but often the evens are free of charge,
So it doesn't even cost you, your horizons to enlarge
