Yet another politician
Fails to think of his position
And behaves in such a way
Papers have a splendid day,
Delivering a nasty blow
By telling everything they know.
Why do they not stop and think
As they stand there on the brink
Of doing something that's unwise,
Knowing there are many eyes
Which are watching all the time
For evidence of vice or crime.
Surely if they are so bright
They can tell the wrong from right
And ensure they always keep
To words and actions which won’t leap
From the front page of the press,
Causing endless harm and stress.
